IPFW volleyball coach goes to the Olympics
IPFW men’s volleyball coach Arnie Ball is in Beijing to watch his son Lloy play in his fourth Olympics with the U.S. men’s national team and to work for the team as a liaison for the players’ families.
Coach Ball:
I was just telling my fiance about you and Lloy helping me out with his signed jersey for the Make-A-Wish girl last night, and then they finally put the Men’s Volleyball team on during prime time! So great to watch him on TV and think, “I knew him when…”! Please give him our best – and I hope his calf starts to feel better!
Go USA!

Arnie,
Thank you for the updates for all of us here in the states. It is always a joy to read your blog each day and we are enjoying watching the games. Lloy is on banners and radio stations here in the booming metro of Angola, IN. We are super proud of him and the team. Enjoy the rest of the games and we look forward to your safe return back home again in Indiana! Goodluck vs. China – we are all watching every game!!!
Wishing you the best,
Scott, Sara, Victoria & Ethan Miller
Arnie,
WOW!!!!!!! what an amazing match. Please tell Lloy that Robin,Jackie,Josie,Mitchell,Ethan and I are all very proud him! We haven’t missed a game. We’re all pulling for the USA to take the Gold!!!! I’ve even talked most of my co-workers into watching USA volleyball and Lloy. It’s been a long road to a medal but the time has finally come, seize the moment and never look back!!! No matter what the outcome, you have represented the USA with dignity and style. You will be in our hearts and prayers tonight as you defeat Brazil…
Love,
Paul,Robin,Mitchell,Ethan,Jackie and Josie
