If you haven’t heard

The U.S. beat Russia 3-2 at 2:45 a.m. today to advance to Saturday’s gold medal match against either Brazil or Italy. The fifth game was 15-13. Arnie is out celebrating and won’t have a blog update until later on this afternoon.
The gold medal match is scheduled to start around midnight Saturday night/Sunday morning, but the bronze medal match will be played first. I’m going to try to call WKJG on Friday to see if they are going to show the match in its entirety or join it in progress as they have done the past couple of matches. The heck with the local news, how many times do you get to see local history like this?
Here are some other articles about Lloy from national media.
Washington Post is here.

Please send along my congrats to Lloy for leading the team to win Gold on the biggest stage in the world. What outstanding matches throughout and tough as nails in the medal rounds.
